The Fanplit mill was established as a reconstruction of Gorskiy-Arkhangelskiy Company’s wood-cutting mill in 1903–12. Its operation startup was celebrated on 1 July 1913. The first owner was F.F. Schilling, a businessman who already supervised several plywood mills in Russia by that time.
1995, an international organization, Global Quality Management Commitment To Quality award, honors OAO Fanplit with a golden award for of its products high quality.
1996, People To People International, International Finance and Economic Partnership Institute, and International Academy for Leadership in Business and Administration awards its Birmingham Torch to Fanplit in recognition of success in economical survival and development meeting adverse conditions.
1999, Fanplit joins the Sveza Group.
2001, new equipment is installed at the mill to facilitate manufacturing of film-faced chipboards.
The mill has two production sites, Fanplit 1 and Fanplit 2. Fanplit 2 is equipped with a set of machinery ranking among the most advanced in the industry.
The mill holds FSC COC, ISO, EN (CE-mark), and BFU-100 international certificates.
